It is my honor and privilege to introduce myself to you all as the new dentist at Dr. Schauwecker’s office. My name is Feras Ziadat, although most of my patients call me Dr. Z. I am excited to have the opportunity to serve you in the beautiful Tempe area and to continue the excellent care that you have been getting. To give you a little background about myself, I finished high school and college in Indiana, but I graduated from dental school here in the valley. I have been married to my sweetheart, Delia, for four years. We just welcomed our first baby girl, Celine, this past December. She has been the joy of our lives. I have wanted to become a dentist my whole life. My mother even found an essay from when I was 11 years old that described my dream of becoming a dentist one day. I am very grateful to continue Dr. Schauwecker’s legacy. I am very passionate about dentistry and I actually consider it one of my hobbies. I truly enjoy every day that I go to the office; I do not even like to call it work because it really is fun. I hold myself to a very high standard of care; I treat every patient of mine as if they were my family members. I attend several dental seminars and continuing education courses each year in order to stay up to date with the latest dental practices and techniques. My goal is for us to provide a relaxing, enjoyable environment in which all my patients can feel at ease. We want to continue to build a long-term relationship with you and your family and make sure to address all your dental needs. I truly look forward to meeting you in person. Please feel free to pass by anytime to say hi. I would be honored to have this office be your dental home.
Feras Z. Ziadat, D.M.D
Message from Dr. Schauwecker:
Dear patients and friends,
After practicing dentistry in Tempe for the last 36 years and establishing my own practice the last 34 years, I have decided to step aside and let another doctor have the opportunity I had,
34 years ago.
Dentistry has been an exceptional occupation for me, but only because of the staff and patients that walked into my office every day. I wish I could express the gratitude adequately that my family has for all of you, but that word escapes me. Maybe it is just many thanks with lots of exclamation points, I just don’t know…
We are all fortunate that Dr. Feras Ziadat approached me about continuing the care that all of you have come to expect. He is someone I look up to as having great training and all the abilities necessary to expand on the service and care that our office has provided for the last 3+ decades.
It’s uncanny the similarities of the position I was in, in 1986 looking to start a practice and the one Dr. Ziadat is in now. He has a new baby daughter (as I had), a new home (me also) and wished to quit the large practices he has been working in for a more personable approach to provide comprehensive dentistry for all his patients. I’m looking forward to having my families care provided by Dr. Ziadat and watching him build on this family of patients.
The staff will remain to help with the transition and continue their careers helping you with the care you have come to expect. I will be working part time to help with the transition and the melding of Dr. Ziadat’s philosophy of care and mine. Thanks for all the past and future support of our office.
Dr. Michael Schauwecker
